Challenge
Designing Sandhina required including immunization schedules, growth charts, and visit records from birth to age 18 in a durable, long-lasting format for parents.
The initiative, led by the Well Child Clinic at Addu Equatorial Hospital, sought to improve the current health record system, which only included immunization schedules and charts.
The new book would provide detailed records from each visit, enabling doctors to easily access past visit details and offer more informed care.
Another significant requirement was to develop a branding and logo for Sandhina, using Thaana typography, reflecting the cultural and linguistic identity.
Goal
We collaborated with the client to ensure the book included all necessary information while focusing on a durable, user-friendly design with clear layouts and visual elements.
The branding needs to use a Thaana typography-based logo that resonated with the cultural context and added a professional touch to the book.
Result
The result was a comprehensive, well-designed health record book that met all requirements. Sandhina now offers detailed records from each visit, improving continuity of care.
The Thaana typography-based logo provided a distinctive and culturally relevant branding for Sandhina. The feedback from healthcare professionals and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the book’s functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This project set a new standard for health records in the region, emphasizing the importance of design and patient experience in public health initiatives.
